term 1.
finding the song
obviously the first step to this journey was to find a song. when I decided to do waves, I had only heard it once or twice, which proved as a challenge when I realised only a couple of days ago. I only knew half the song. none the less after playing (only) the first half of the song through on my guitar I decided it was the one.

obviously I got a bit excited and started recording before doing a plan. we managed to the record the piano part, drums and vocals of the first verse and chorus but I have temporarily stopped so i can focus on the theory end.
the only bit funnier than recording is creating a score that demonstrates the exact tune of all instruments !!! it is an absolute treacherous journey and slowly but surely I am getting through the guitar tab and writing it all out. its time to move on to the vocals part which I'm not excited for eek
term 2.
here is the draft so far. there are some badly played chords we are yet to fix and we still have one verse and half a chorus to record, but oh well.
friday checkup
week of it being due!
we have offically sort of finished! we will probably go back throughout the week and tweak some bits here and there but this is the rough final copy!!
this week my producer(aka my brother)
and i worked extra hard to finish the song. it consisted of rerecording all of the guitar and singing, creating the whole bridge and end chorus, and adding a little creative choice that was adding the sound of the sea at the beginning and end. it was a long progress that took many hours but eventually we came up with our final product.
last minute!
I'm not going to lie, I'm kind of the queen of last-minute finishing and I'm really trying to get my singing notation done. we've just finished the song, and adding in some of the stuff miss recommended to me (real-life clapping and clicking, turning real instruments up) getting the clapping to sound good was definitely a challenge today, but we managed to dig deep and get it done.

after over an hour I have finally finished my score!! I am so tired the website kept glitching and everything kept going wrong, but it's done, and I'm so glad for it!!!
