glam rock was a nearly entirely British based genre of music that started during the first half of the 70's. it was based around catchy tunes, heavy guitar, lots of glitz, dramatic delivery and almost always by male artists. artists included David bowie, T-rex, Gary Glitter as well as Elton John, Queen and Roxy music who were also sometimes associated with glam rock.
